Ethiopian 19th century anklet of heavy silver gilded and with an underlay of red foil underneath, decorated with tiny bells and glass. It comes with a horse halter in the same work. These sets are given as a bridal dowry by the Nobility wedding, and the gilding is done with permission of the King or Emperor, at that time the Emperor, Menelik II.
