Algerian fibula chain with boxes and hands, plus small cylindrical holders for corals which would have amuletic properties.
“TAQLID/ TAGLID / TAKLID” the root name comes from the semetic root “QLD” through arabic “QILADA” which literally means “Necklace, haging around neck..”. Its use was known through a very large area from the Oulad nail (rare) towards the Saharan atlas and deep in the Sahara passing by the important oases of Ourgla (very common) and Ghardaia. – Alaa Eddine Sagid.
